The Baker’s Crust Story
The Baker’s Crust set up operation in 2012, producing a range of freshly baked hand crafted goods, that are all baked on site daily. It was always my dream to have a more traditional bakery, focusing on top quality products and service.
We offer a range of hand crafted breads including our very own sourdough. We also bake German Rye, Wholemeal, Italian Ciabatta, French Baguettes and Croissants made with real butter. We have sweet breads for the sweet tooth, bears paws, custard twists and traditional Sally Lunns.
There’s coffee, slices, biscuits, filled rolls and donuts. All rolls are baked fresh each morning before being carefully filled with a salad and a meat. Vegetable sandwiches are made to order.
Using fresh meats from local butchers Omak meats and our delicious hand crafted flakey pastry we produce a wide range of mouth-watering pies. We have all the standards along with some wonderful extras.
Our pie of the month is always a new and exciting flavour, featuring pies like Katsu chicken, Pie-ro (spicy beef with ghost peppers), Beef and Guiness for St Paddy’s day. We also offer both a vegetarian and a vegan option.
Being hands on gives us the advantage of being able to be creative and add new and exciting
products, like bringing the Cronut and Bronut to Whangarei!
